Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 October 2026.
These terms govern your use of IndieCrew.Win, operated by Asynq Labs LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling.
1. What the service provides
IndieCrew helps independent founders present their work, describe what they need and offer, and arrange collaborations. Features and availability may change.
2. Eligibility and account access
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into an agreement. Provide accurate information about your projects and authority to represent them. You may use a public nickname, but must not impersonate someone else. Keep control of your sign-in methods and notify us of suspected unauthorised access.
Google registration uses your Google account identifier, without requiring an email address. You can add a verified email in Settings for email-code access. If you lose access to your only sign-in method, we may be unable to restore your account without adequate proof of ownership. Accounts are not automatically merged because you claim they belong to the same person.
Crew access requires authenticator-based two-step verification. Free members may enable it voluntarily. Keep your authenticator and recovery codes safe. We require recent identity verification for sensitive changes, and cannot restore access solely because someone can receive email when a second factor is required.
3. Club membership, renewal and expiry
IndieCrew is a club for independent founders. Free accounts and Crew club membership have different permissions. Crew membership follows these participation and renewal rules:
- Founding Crew: $59 USD, tax exclusive, for the first 100 paid members (58% off the regular $139 joining contribution). Availability is shown on the Membership page; a place is reserved during checkout. Both prices cover three months. This is a one-time payment for the initial term, not a monthly subscription or a lifetime purchase. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.
- Renew through confirmed impact. During each three-month term, complete at least 3 confirmed contributions benefiting at least 2 different members. Delivered help counts once after its recipient gives thanks. A pact counts once per participant only when both participants confirm completion. Self-confirmation, proposals, unconfirmed work, likes and comments do not count toward reputation. This route does not require guest referrals.
- Or renew through participation and community growth. Record at least 30 different likes or comments involving another member across the three-month term and bring 3 qualifying guests. You can catch up at any time before the term ends. Repeated like toggles and comment edits do not add to the count; browsing, logins and profile edits do not count. A guest qualifies after registering through your invitation and publishing a project. Guests can remain Free. Extra qualifying guest credit carries forward, and impact renewals do not consume it.
- Meet either route, keep your place. Membership renews automatically for another three months at no additional charge. Impact must be confirmed within the term being assessed; it is not reused for a later term. The same conditions apply to every renewal, including founding Crew members admitted without a joining payment. Honour your commitments and follow the Code of Conduct and privacy rules. Reputation reflects confirmed contributions, not a promise of sales or future results.
- Room for more projects. Free accounts have one active project place. Crew membership starts with three. Each successful three-month renewal adds three more: 3, then 6, then 9. Unused places carry forward; you can use the available capacity anytime. Archiving a project frees its place. While your account is Free, its active project limit is one.
- Time to put things right. We will notify you before an assessment deadline if a requirement is still missing, explain what is needed and give you time to act. Either renewal route is sufficient; you do not need to meet both.
- If the conditions are not met, the term ends. Crew access expires at the end of the current three-month period. There is no automatic renewal charge. You may apply to rejoin by making a new joining payment under the terms then offered.
Before you join, we disclose the start and end dates of the membership and assessment periods, advance warning timing, how qualifying guests are attributed and assessed, and how to question a renewal decision. Changes to these criteria are not applied retrospectively to deny an already purchased term.
You may decline renewal or request to leave by emailing support@asynq.org. Expiry of Crew access does not itself delete your Free account or public projects, and does not cancel commitments already accepted with other members. You remain responsible for those commitments; contact support if you need help completing them after access ends. Following is a Crew benefit: when Crew access ends, your following relationships and your followers are removed. Rejoining does not restore these relationships. Existing followers may receive an in-app notice of your membership change.
We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, harassment, spam, misuse of private information, security abuse or other serious or repeated violations of these terms. Where reasonably possible, we explain the reason and allow you to respond; urgent protective restrictions may take effect immediately. You can request review at support@asynq.org. Guest credit or payment does not override a conduct restriction. Mandatory consumer cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.
Featured placements depend on available capacity and the booking rules shown when reserving. They are exposure opportunities, not a competition or a guarantee of visitors, backlinks being indexed, sales or business results. Likes express appreciation and do not establish a winner. Do not evade project or booking limits through duplicate accounts.
4. Your content and other members’ privacy
You retain ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, format and display it as necessary to operate the features you use, with the visibility described in the Privacy Policy. This does not give us ownership of your project or permission to sell your private pitch. The licence ends when the content is removed, except as necessary for lawful retention, backups and existing shared records.
Only submit material you have the right to share. Public profiles and projects are publicly accessible; pitches are shared with Crew members. Respect the intended audience of private pitches, connection messages and pact records. Do not scrape, publish or sell private member content or use it for unsolicited bulk marketing. A pitch is not a substitute for a separately agreed confidentiality agreement.
5. Connections, pacts and help
Sending a request does not oblige anyone to respond, collaborate or pay. A Free recipient may need Crew access to read a request and respond. Agree clearly on the work, timing and responsibilities before accepting a pact. Mark delivery or completion honestly, and give thanks only for help actually received.
Agreements are between the participating members. IndieCrew records proposals and confirmations but is not a party to your collaboration, an employer, an escrow provider or a guarantor of performance. Arrange any payment, intellectual-property transfer, confidentiality or other necessary contractual terms directly with your partner. Whether your agreement is legally binding depends on its terms and applicable law. Internal contributions or achievements have no cash value.
6. Acceptable use
Our Code of Conduct explains the shared expectations for everyone using IndieCrew, including Free and Crew members.
- Do not post unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, threatening or harassing content.
- Do not impersonate people, misrepresent ownership or create fake help, likes or confirmations.
- Do not send spam, distribute malware, attempt unauthorised access or bypass access controls and rate limits.
- Do not harvest personal information or expose another person’s confidential information without authority.
- Do not disrupt the service or use automation to evade membership and booking rules.
7. Moderation and account closure
We may restrict content, suspend access or close accounts for a material breach of these terms, unlawful activity or a security risk. Where appropriate and permitted, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond; urgent protective action may come first. Report abuse or challenge a restriction at support@asynq.org, including the relevant profile or project link and a short explanation.
You may stop using the service at any time. To close an account and request deletion, contact privacy@asynq.org. Account closure does not itself cancel obligations you separately agreed with another member. Data handling after closure follows our Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful, secure service, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, successful collaborations or the accuracy of member content. Keep your own copies of important work. External websites and services are governed by their own terms; listing a project does not mean we endorse or verify it.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential business losses caused by interruptions or other members’ conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or removes mandatory consumer rights. These terms do not require you to waive access to courts or statutory remedies.
9. Changes and contact
We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will be announced through an appropriate channel, such as the website or application, with advance notice where required. Changes do not retrospectively alter completed agreements between members. If you do not accept changed terms, you can stop using the service and request account closure. Mandatory protections under the law applicable to you continue to apply.
